The remains of late Mrs Roseline Azobandu have been laid to rest in her husband’s compound at Ifiteani village, Agulu in Anaocha Local government area.
Late Mrs Azobandu who died at ninety-three was a devout Christian.
The final journey of late Mrs Azobandu commenced with a funeral service held at her husband’s compound where the choir thanked the Almighty God for the life of the deceased through special renditions.
In a sermon, Venerable Geoffrey Orji charged Christians to always prepare for death which is inevitable by living a holy life so that they will make heaven after their sojourn on earth.
Venerable Orji thanked God for the life of the late Azobandu whom he said was kind-hearted and submissive to her husband till her death and enjoined married women to emulate the lifestyle of the deceased by being kind to people and submissive to their husbands for them to make heaven after their lifetime on earth.
In a funeral oration delivered by one of the daughters of the deceased during the service, Mrs Ijeoma Nneji Azobandu described her late mother as a God-fearing woman who loved her children and humanity as she went far and wide to provide for them and the needy.
On his part, the first son of the deceased, Mr Ikemefuna Azobandu expressed gratitude to God for blessing their mother with longevity and described her as a loving mother who cared for him even in hard times.
A relative of the deceased, Mr Benaya Orakwelu also disclosed that Mrs Azobandu contributed to his success by accommodating him when he returned to the South East from the Northern part of Nigeria till he joined the Nigerian military.
The funeral ceremony of late Mrs Azobandu climaxed with interment and performances by her family members and relatives.
