Landlords and residents of Awada Obosi in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State have elected a new executive officers to pilot their affairs.
The election, which took place at Awada Central Landlords Association Secretariat, attracted government officials, stakeholders, and security agencies who saw to the smooth and hitch-free exercise.
The newly elected executive has Chief Patrick Onyediuba as President, Sir Okechukwu Nwabueze as First Vice President, Comrade Walter Ohiri as Second Vice President, Comrade Hilary Ogbacharu as Secretary, and Mr Chinedu Njoku as Assistant Secretary.
Others are Mr Okechukwu Chidozie, Financial Secretary, Mr Sylvester Okparaji- Treasurer, Mr Ndubisi Mmadu is Public Relation Officer One, Mr Emmanuel Igwe is Public Relation Officer Two, Mr Peter Amobi-Provost one, while Mr Emeka Okenwa-Provost Two.
Speaking after the election, a stakeholder, Mr Michael Ohazulike, described the exercise as smooth and hitch free, and expressed optimism that the new executive will deliver their mandate for the betterment of Awada community.
Also Speaking, the newly elected Second Vice President, Comrade Ohiri, who expressed satisfaction with the outcome of the election, stated the preparedness of the new officers to work relentlessly to move Awada community to greater heights, and pointed out that their administration will ensure proper evacuation of refuse.
On his part, the newly elected Secretary, Comrade Ogbacharu, commended all who participated in the exercise which he described as of optimum importance in bringing progress to the area.
Adding their voices, some of the youths of the area including Mr. Christian Nwadike, expressed confidence that the new executive would transform Awada community, and pledged their unalloyed support to them.
