A Chieftain of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Prince Neville Uchendu has advocated Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s second term in appreciation and recognition of his visionary leadership and massive development of the State.
Speaking at Ekwulobia, in Aguata Council Area during the inauguration of the Association of Past Presidents-General, Anambra South Senatorial Zone, Prince Uchendu enjoined them to engage in active community development and security watch to ensure an enduring peace and unity in their various communities.
Prince Uchendu who was the Chairman on the occasion, noted that Ndi Anambra South are among major beneficiaries of the good administration of Governor Soludo in terms of road Infrastructure, construction and rehabilitation of hospitals, pipe borne water, improved security architecture, construction work at the monumental Ekwulobia bridge among others.
He reasoned that since charity begins at home, the Association of Past Presidents-General, Anambra South, should be a big voice to champion Governor Soludo’s second term bid, adding that the Governor has done the zone and Ndi Anambra proud through good governance.
Also speaking, the Vice President of Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide, Chief Damian Okeke-Ogene, commended members of the Association for uniting themselves and urged them to key into the development efforts of Governor Soludo by giving him the necessary support.
The National President of Association of Past Presidents-General, Anambra State, Chief Omife Omife enjoined the inaugurated members of the Association to work hard to sustain the image of the Association and commended the Chairman, organizing committee of the event, Chief Oliver-Tambo Okafor and his team for a successful event.
In his acceptance speech, the newly inaugurated President of the Association, Chief Ignatius Nnubia, promised to lead the Association to greater heights.
The event which attracted prominent personalities in Anambra South Senatorial Zone, featured presentation of awards to deserving individuals.
