The stakeholders of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, in Njikoka Local Government Area have held a “super stakeholder and friends summit.”
The event which was held in Enugu-Ukwu was also used to launch a thirty-million-naira fund for the betterment of the party.
Addressing the media after the exercise, the APGA Chairman for Njikoka Local Government Area, Mr Chinedu Anekwe said that the summit was meant to bring the party members together to cross fertilize ideas on how to move the party forward.
Mr Anekwe said that the local government came third in the last governorship election, hence his resolve to do everything humanly possible to ensure that they come first in the upcoming governorship poll in the state, adding that the launching of the thirty-million-naira fund was for the good of the party in Njikoka Local Government Area.
A former federal lawmaker and candidate of the party in Anambra Central Senatorial District election in the 2023 election, Hon. Dozie Nwankwo maintained that what they have done was to bring the party members together in order to put mechanisms in place for a seamless future election, adding that APGA Njikoka is ready to deliver Governor Chukwuma Soludo for a second term in office.
Hon. Nwankwo described the award of the 2023 governor of the year on Infrastructure and rural development bestowed on Prof. Soludo by the Champion Newspapers as timely and deserving, because of the governor’s sterling performance in office.
For the member representing Njikoka Two Constituency in the State House of Assembly, Hon. Jude Akpua, the fund raising is for the empowerment, future meetings and other party exigencies, saying that they are building a formidable APGA in Njikoka Local Government Area.
