The Anambra State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Estate Surveyors and Valuers have Inaugurated New Executive, with Mr. Raji Adewale as the tenth branch chairman .
Mr. Adewale was inaugurated alongside other members of the executive committee who will pilot the affairs of the union for the next two years.
Born in Oyo State, Nigeria, Mr. Adewale became resident in Anambra State after serving his fatherland in the state and then delved into property development and management and has received all the necessary certifications in the practice.
Inaugurating the new executive, the National President and Chairman of the Council, Mr. Victor Alonge said that the election of the new executive showed the determination of the chapter to become a true light of the nation as reflected in the state’s motto and also noted that the election of a non-indigene to head the chapter confirmed them as detribalized Nigerians and Anambra as a home of hospitality.
Mr. Alonge represented by Mr. Monday Aihwe reminded the new executive that they have been called to render selfless service which will demand into their time and personal resources.
On the topic, ‘The Future Is Now’, a guest speaker at the event, Professor Olusegun Sogbesan challenged the institute to work as individuals and groups to facilitate change in the estate management and surveying profession in the state.
Earlier in his address of welcome, the Chairman on the occasion, Sir Gilbert Nwanna represented by Chief Emeka Onuorah tasked the new executive to vigorously engage in membership drive to bring more young estate surveyors as members of the association
The outgoing chairman of the institute Mr. Chris Okagbue listed some of their major achievements to include membership growth, capacity building, equipping of branch operational secretariat, among others and pleaded with the new executive to bring all the major challenges facing the institute in the state to an end.
During his inaugural speech, the new Chairman, Mr. Adewale said that in line with his vision, he has a comprehensive four-point agenda that will guide their efforts and actions which are designed to foster growth, enhance their professional standing and ensure the welfare of their members.
