Anambra State Governor’s wife, Nonye Soludo, has congratulated the three students of Michael Tansi Memorial Secondary School, Aguleri, Anambra East Local Government Area, who emerged overall winner in the recently-held National Quiz and Debate Championship.
The event organized by the United Organization for Education and Sports Development Nigeria had the finals in Enugu State on 25th May 2024.
The three senior students who represented Anambra State beat contenders from other states of Nigeria to take home the coveted trophy.
Speaking during her meeting with the victorious students in their school in Aguleri, Mrs Soludo praised them for representing Anambra’s brand of excellence, and for displaying resilience and brilliance when they mattered.
She encouraged the students to maintain the focus and commitment that got them the victory, and to explore bigger opportunities for national and international laurels.
The Governor’s wife, who promised to keep guiding and mentoring the students to reach the height of their potential, added that the current administration in the state will continue to provide a veritable platform for every Anambra child to succeed.
She maintained that the state government is very intentional in its education development strategies, which she noted have already started yielding fruits.
