A one-time president of foam Manufacturers Association of Nigeria Dr Godwin Okafor says Governor Chukwuma Soludo is taking clear, positive and visible steps in the development of Anambra State.
Speaking in an interview with the business correspondent of Anambra Broadcasting service Abuchi Nwozor in Awka, Dr Okafor maintained that Governor Chukwuma Soludo is taking positive steps in transforming all sectors of the State economy and reassured him of the total support of the organized Private sector in Anambra State to his administration.
Dr Okafor a front-line industrialist and community leader in Isuofia, Aguata Local Government Area, described the recent Award on Professor Chukwuma Soludo as the 2023 Best Governor of the year in infrastructure and Rural development by the champion newspapers as meritorious, appealed to the governor to include the Agu Awka industrial lay out road in the Road construction programme of his administration to improve access to industries in the area.
Dr Okafor commended the giant strides of Governor Soludo in other key sectors of the economy including Health, Education, Agriculture, Human capital development and called for the establishment of industrial park in Anambra State which he said helped the people’s Republic of China in boosting its economy.
Another industrialist and traditional ruler of Umueri in Anambra East local government area, Igwe Ben Emeka, described the ‘Best Governor of 2023 Award’ conferred on Governor Chukwuma Soludo in infrastructure and rural development as well-deserved.
He praised Professor Chukwuma Soludo, saying that since assuming office barely two years ago, the governor has been doing his best to open up the hinterlands through massive road construction, thereby fostering development in the region.
According to Igwe Ben Emeka, the hitherto neglected Communities in Anambra State have been given a sense of belonging in development, saying that most of the abandoned general hospitals in some hinterlands especially in Umueri have been renovated and equipped with qualified staff and modern equipment for optimum performance.
