Awka capital city, is now cleaner and greener than it was before, courtesy of Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s robust policies and his strong political will and commitment to achieving excellence in all spheres of governance.

This remark was made by the member representing Aguata Constituency One at the State House of Assembly, Honourable Anayo Okpalaeke while speaking with newsmen at the Legislative building complex in Awka.

Honourable Okpalaeke pointed out that there have been positive changes in his style of leadership noting that in the management and operations of those agencies like ASWAMA, ATMA, OCHA Brigade and ACTDA, one witnessed a series of operational changes resulting in quality service delivery in every sector.

The legislator who is also the House Committee Chairman on education observed that the recruitment of five thousand teachers and another batch of ten thousand recently and the appointment of over one thousand health workers by the governor in this harsh economy is testament to his seriousness and prudent management of resources.

Honourable Okpaleke also remarked that the quantum of roads already constructed by the present administration and those under construction as well as rehabilitation and the innovations in agricultural sectors and the work on the aesthetic of the capital and urban centuries plus the return of pipe borne water to the people show a government that has unequalled commitment to the welfare of the masses and over all progress of the State.

Harping on the importance of Soludo administration’s policy of Public-Private-Community partnership, Honourable Okpaleke called for a greater synergy among the trio and commended the numerous relationships existing among the Executive, the legislature and the Judiciary which according to him is key to good governance.

Honourable Okpaleke called for greater support to Soludo administration by all and sundry to enable it achieve all its set goals saying that it will pave way for greater and better Anambra for all.
