Anambra State Deputy Governor, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, has commissioned a one hundred and twenty solar-powered street lights installed by the member representing Njikoka Constituency Two, Dr. Jude Akpua, for his constituency.
Deputy Governor Ibezim commissioned the facility installed at Ifite-Enu village, Nimo Ward Three, in the Njikoka Council Area.
Deputy Governor Ibezim commended Dr. Akpua for aligning with the state government’s vision for community development, describing him as a supporter of the current administration through his motions and bills in the eighth assembly.
Dr. Ibezim highlighted that the Governor has numerous significant programs and plans for Ndi Anambra, many of which are yet to be unveiled.
He noted that the administration has already built over two hundred and fifty kilometers of roads in two years, and has made strides in employment and sectoral development, urging the people of Njikoka to continue supporting Dr. Akpua and the current government.
On his part, Dr. Akpua, who is the Deputy Majority Leader, Anambra State House of Assembly, stated that the project is to fulfill his campaign promises to his constituents, and that more projects are underway.
He expressed his commitment to providing development in line with Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s objective of making Anambra a livable state, while also aiming to establish significant development structures in Njikoka.
The Lawmaker highlighted his achievements within one year as a legislator, and promised to support life-changing bills and motions for the interest of Ndi Anambra.
In their remarks, the Traditional ruler of Nimo, Igwe Maxi Oliobi, and the President, Ifite-Enu Nimo, Retired Captain Maxi Okochi, praised Dr. Akpua for bringing development to the community, and expressed their continued support.
In appreciation, the Chairman, All Progressives’ Grand Alliance, APGA, Pharmacist Chinedu Aniekwe, and APGA Chairman of Ward Three Nimo, Mr. Chris Omeili, described Dr. Akpua as a rare breed, philanthropist and dedicated Lawmaker with the interests of his people at heart.
