Governor Chukwuma Soludo has called on Ndi Anambra to be environment friendly by obeying environmental laws for good health and improved environment.
Governor Soludo made the call through his Deputy, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim at Jerome Udorji State Secretariat complex in Awka, while inaugurating All Anambra Communities Plastic Waste Recovery Challenge two point zero.
Governor Soludo who emphasized the importance of the environment to human existence said that the plastic wastes recovery challenge is part of efforts of his administration towards recovering the environment from degradation and ensure a clean, green, and sustainable Anambra, and commended the Commissioner for Environment, Mr. Felix Odimegwu and his team for their commitment to improving environment agenda.
Earlier in an address, the Commissioner for Environment, Mr. Odimegwu while saying that the state government’s target this year is to recover hundreds of thousands tons of plastic wastes, explained that the second phase of the plastic wastes recovery challenge is a call for action amongst Anambra residents.
