Magna Carta Plaza, Odu Agba Ekwuluobia, Orumba North Council Area have been officially opened for business.

 

The plaza, a business investment of the people of Agba, a village in Ekwuluobia, was initiated to attract development, engage in business by providing shops for people, and to yield revenue for the village.

The grand opening the plaza started with a holy mass to invite God to direct activities at the plaza.

 

In a homily during the mass, Reverend Father Josephat Onyechefuna said that Ndi Agba Ekwulobia took a bold decision that will stand the test of time, and which demonstrates the true spirit of “Ndi Igbo”

He noted that in unity, they have realized such magnificent project, asking them to hold unto it and love themselves.

 

Opening the plaza, the Chairman, All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, in Orumba North, Mr Cyril Nwobu, said the plaza is in line with Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s call that everyone should join hands in developing the state, thereby helping to eradicate hunger in communities.

He asked those in charge of the plaza to work as a team in order to ensure that nothing brings them down, even as he prayed God to bless those who rent the plaza for businesses.

On his part, the Chairman, Agba Development Union, Chief Bertrand Okoli, said when he assumed office six years ago, he adopted the “Magna carta” strategy, a principle rooted in English tradition which he said has capacity to leapfrog development and achieve goals.

 

He commended Governor Soludo for developing Ekwuluobia within one year in office, and explained that the plaza perfectly fits into the new face the Governor is preparing for the area.
