The Anambra State House of Assembly Committee on Works and Infrastructure has commended the pace and qualities of construction work on the ongoing Ekwulobia flyover project by Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s administration.

 

The Chairman of the Committee, Engineer Emma Nwafor, who is also the Member representing Orumba South Constituency at the State House of Assembly, gave the commendation during inspection of the project site by the Committee as part of oversight functions to assess the progress and standard of work being adhered to in the construction.

House of Assembly Correspondent Emmanuel Chigbata reports that during the visit, Engineer Nwafor expressed satisfaction with the progress being made and the quality of materials used in the construction, affirming that they met the required standards.

 

He informed the contractors of the importance of maintaining the current pace and standard to ensure timely completion of the flyover, which he said is a critical infrastructural project aimed at improving traffic flow and boosting economic activities in the region.

The Lawmaker reassured Ndi Anambra that the State House of Assembly will continue to monitor the project closely to ensure that it is delivered on time and to the expected quality, thereby fulfilling Governor Soludo’s commitment to infrastructural development and the welfare of Ndi Anambra.

 

In a similar development, the Committee also inspected the Ajaji, Nawfija, Ufuma, Ogbunka road as well as Ezira, Enuguumuonyia, Umuomaku and Achina road.

The Committee, after making some observations, instructed the contractors to tidy up their work and complete it within the given timeframe, adding that although there are minor issues to address, the overall work was commendable .

 

The visit included the member representing Anambra West Constituency, Honourable Patrick Obalum-Udoba and Honourable Golden Iloh, representing Ihiala Constituency Two among others
