Reactions have continued to trail the 2024 distribution of over one million economic trees and seedlings to Ndi Anambra by Governor Chukwuma Soludo recently.
Speaking to the ABS during the unveiling of Solution Palms and Staple tree crops Revolution, at Godwin Achebe Stadium Fegge Onitsha, the traditional ruler of Obosi, Igwe Chinedu Iweka commended Governor Soludo for his laudable initiative in promoting Agriculture for food sufficiency in Anambra, saying that planting of more trees will help to cool the atmosphere and as well help in solving the environmental degradation across the state.
On her part, the Provost Nwafor Orizu College of Education, Nsugbe, Dr Justina Anyadiegwu represented by Dr Maureen Chukwuma described Professor Soludo as a solution provider and expressed happiness over the initiative of Soludo administration in improving the economic situation of the people, saying that through the economic trees the livelihood of Ndi Anambra will improve, urging the people to ensure that they plant trees to help protect the state’s land mass and called for its sustainability.
Also speaking, the Anambra State Chief Protocol and Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor, Chief Chinedu Nwoye said that the palm trees and seedlings revolution initiative of Governor Soludo is a welcome development, as it will make every household in Anambra millionaires by the time every family will have up to ten of their seedlings grown in their compounds, advising the people to ensure that they plant the crops during this raining season.
Contributing, the Presidents General of Onitsha Improvement Union, Sir Chike Ekweogu and that of Okpuno, Engineer Luke Egwuatu applauded the green revolution initiative of the Governor which according to them, will help to improve the aesthetic nature of the state, help fight erosion and improve on the livelihood of Ndi Anambra.
The third National Legal Adviser of Anambra State Association of Town Unions, Barista Gordian Afa, pointed out that God has visited Anambra State through Professor Soludo who has demonstrated and showcased his good will for the state, adding that almost every community has benefitted from his economic empowerment, aimed at improving the socio- economic and moral growth of the people and called on Ndi Anambra to give him their maximum support to actualize his lofty dreams for the state.
