Anambra State House of Assembly, Committee on Works and Infrastructure says the ongoing construction of Solution Innovation District, Awka, beside the Government House, being handled by the state government is in conformity to standard

 

The Chairman, House Committee on Works and Infrastructure and member representing Orumba South Constituency, Engineer Emma Nwafor gave the remarks when members of the Committee inspected the site as part of their oversight function.

The Solution Innovation District is envisioned as a training center where youths can acquire life-transforming skills and become adept in technology.

 

Engineer Nwafor expressed satisfaction with the quality of materials and operations at the site, affirming that they met the required standards.

He urged the contractor to maintain these standards and to ensure the project is completed on schedule.

 

The lawmaker also commended the state government for initiating the project, noting that it will enhance infrastructural development and create jobs for youths upon completion.

Responding, Engineer Awolaji Olalekan, the contractor handling the project, acknowledged that the construction is currently at the foundation stage and is scheduled for completion in eight months.

 

He expressed gratitude to the state government for entrusting them with the project and assured adherence to standards throughout the construction process
