The President of Aguata Diocesan Women’s Ministry, Mrs Chinyere Ezeofor, has urged Christian mothers to utilize this year’s August Meeting to initiate measures that will bring about the necessary transformation in the society.
Speaking on the significance of the August Home and Abroad Women’s Meeting, Mrs Ezeofor cautioned mothers against practices that may compromise the true meaning and purpose of the meeting.
She expressed concern over the high rate of immorality in the society, particularly among the youths, and charged Christian mothers to seek ways of instilling sound morals in their children.
Mrs Ezeofor also expressed dismay over the gradual return of youths to idolatry, which she described as a major threat to present-day Christianity.
She urged parents to direct their children’s mindset towards evangelism to secure a bright future for them.
The President of Aguata Diocesan Women’s Ministry emphasized the importance of mothers being role models to their children and blamed the high rate of immodesty, especially among young girls, on the inability of mothers to perform their responsibilities.
She advocated exclusive breastfeeding for healthy and balanced growth and charged nursing mothers to monitor the company their children keep, especially during the long holiday period, to avoid bringing shame to their families.
Mrs Ezeofor also encouraged women to engage in regenerative agriculture to ensure food security and boost their economy.
