The member representing Anambra West Constituency in the State House of Assembly, Honourable Patrick Obalum-Udoba says that the “farm to feed” agricultural campaign launched by Governor Chukwuma Soludo yesterday will bring about food security and sufficiency in the State.

Speaking to newsmen in Awka, Honourable Udoba noted that the agricultural revolution of the present administration in the state will help Ndi Anambra to survive the current food crisis in Nigeria.

The lawmaker, who is the Deputy Chief Whip of the House, explained that the Farm to Feed Campaign by Governor Soludo has opened a door that will guarantee and sustain food sufficiency in Anambra, as well as enhance the living standards of the citizenry.

Honourable Udoba pointed out that Anambra West is an agrarian constituency that boasts of fertile land and called on his people to use the farm to feed programme to double their food produce for an economically viable Anambra West and the State in general.

According to Honourable Udoba, he will liaise with Governor Soludo’s administration to ensure that Ndi Anambra West, whom he said live along the coastal line, would be giving farm inputs on time, as they have different farm seasons because of flooding.

He therefore called on the youths of the area to key into the Governor’s youth friendly policies and programmes to become self reliant and employers of labour, as well as domesticate the farm to feed programme of the Anambra State government in Anambra West.
