The Special Adviser to Governor Chukwuma Soludo on Youth Empowerment Programmes, Dr Nelson Omenugha, has expressed optimism that the “One Youth, Two Skills” Solution Initiative will empower thousands of youths in Anambra to become self-reliant and employers of labour.
Dr Omenugha stated this in Awka during the flag-off of the second phase of the initiative by Governor Soludo.
According to Dr Omenugha, the programme which saw five thousand youths empowered with startup capital in the first phase has proven to be a very productive and best approach towards eradicating hunger and meaningfully engaging the youths.
Dr Omenugha appreciated Governor Soludo for the second phase of the scheme that is expected to train and empower over eight thousand, six hundred youths and encouraged the youths to stand out as solution providers.
He noted that the dedication of Governor Soludo towards human capital development is second to none and emphasized that Anambra youths which he described as bridge to the future will become more useful at home and be exportable abroad through the initiative and tasked the youths and residents of Anambra to maximize the opportunity to add value to the livable and prosperous Anambra agenda of Governor Soludo.
