A former Member of the National Assembly, Chief Chinedu Onwuaso, has called on governments at all levels to create bright prospects for youths to secure their future.
Speaking in an interview with ABS on the significance of the 2024 International Youth Day, celebrated on August twelfth, Chief Onwuaso emphasized that youths, as future leaders, need proper guidance to assert their roles positively.
He advocated the establishment of skills acquisition centers by various governments, where youths can learn skills to become self-reliant and employers of labour.
Chief Onwuaso, who represented Awka North and South federal constituency at the National Assembly from 2019 to 2023, noted that creating prospects for youths will divert their minds from crime and restiveness while praising the United Nations General Assembly for setting aside a special day to commemorate the contributions of youths worldwide.
He urged youths to engage in projects that will promote national peace and unity for enhanced development of the Nigerian nation.
