A week-long 2024 National Convention of the Evangelical Fellowship in the Anglican Communion (EFAC) Nigeria has ended in Oko, Anambra State.

 

The National Convention, which drew participants mainly from the Evangelical Fellowship in the Anglican Communion from different parts of Nigeria, took place at Saint John the Divine Church and the Federal Polytechnic, both in Oko, Orumba North Local Government Area.

Speaking during the event, the National Chairman of EFAC, Right Reverend Samuel Ezeofor, emphasized the theme of the convention, “Show forth His glory.”

 

He maintained that God has prepared His vessels to bless and empower believers, making them instruments and channels to show the world His glory.

Right Reverend Ezeofor, also the Anglican Bishop of Aguata Diocese, charged Christians to exercise patience while serving God to fully receive His glory.

 

Bishop Ezeofor stated that God manifests His glory to achieve various purposes, including blessing His people, creation, and punishing the wicked.

He urged youths to remain steadfast in prayer, as God seeks a generation to clothe with His glory, pointing out that when he gets such people, He will enable them to accomplish great things on earth.

 

He explained that the yearly convention of the Evangelical fellowship in the Anglican Communion EFAC Nigeria is a medium God uses through His Ministers to reawaken Christians especially the EFAC members to their heavenly mandate of soul winning.

In a remark the National General Secretary of EFAC, Venerable Olugbenga Ajayi, described the one-week National Convention as life-transforming, saying it would help many Christians who have fallen out of faith to be strengthened.

 

He regretted the hardships Nigerians face but encouraged perseverance and continued faith in God, assuring that the challenges will soon pass.

In an interview, the President of Aguata Diocesan Women’s Ministry, Mrs. Chinyere Ezeofor, who spoke on “The role of women as the major pillars in both the church and the larger society” advised women to hold onto God to record more successes in life.

 

Drama, interactions, testimonies, seminars, retreat for the clergy and their wives, Bible study among others were the highlights of the week long National convention of the Evangelical fellowship in the Anglican communion EFAC Nigeria which was hosted by the Aguata Diocese of the Anglican communion.
