The National Coordinator of the Soludo Support Group, Chief Chinedu Nwoye, has stated that at thirty-three, Anambra is making steady progress in human and infrastructural development.
Speaking in an interview with newsmen in Awka on the thirty-third anniversary of the state’s creation, Chief Nwoye who commended the founding fathers, military administrators, and civilian governors for their contributions to the state’s development, maintained that series of developments have been recorded in Anambra, thirty-three years after its creation on the twenty-seventh August 1991.
Chief Nwoye, who is the Deputy Chief of Staff to Governor Chukwuma Soludo and Anambra State Director of Protocol, acknowledged the efforts of past leaders in infrastructural development and noted that the current administration has witnessed tremendous developments across all sectors, particularly in Awka, the state capital.
Chief Nwoye attributed the progress to Governor Soludo’s Road infrastructure projects, which have opened up the hinterlands and boosted businesses, leading to improved internally generated revenue and described Governor Soludo as a leader with the people’s interest at heart.
He used the opportunity to call on the people of Anambra State to continue with their support and prayers to Governor Soludo and his team for the enhanced development of the State.
Contributing, the Coordinator of the Soludo Support Group in Anambra Central Senatorial District, Chief Obi Ochije Modilim, also expressed satisfaction with the development in Awka, under the Soludo administration and described the thirty-third anniversary of the state as one that calls for sober reflection.
He commended Governor Soludo for remembering Awka in terms of infrastructural development and political appointments, assuring him of the continuous support and prayers of the people of Awka to his administration.
Chief Ochije Modilim, a major stakeholder in the All-Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, noted that Governor Soludo is building a befitting Government House and lodge in Awka, among other infrastructural projects and assured the governor of the continuous support and prayers of the people of Awka.
While wishing the government and people of Anambra State a remarkable thirty-third anniversary, Chief Ochije Modilim urged the people to desist from acts capable of retarding the pace of development across the State.
