The Transition Committee Chairman of Awka North Local Government Area, Comrade ThankGod Anago says that Anambra State has made significant progress in the past thirty-three years of its creation.
Speaking to the ABS in Awka over the thirty third anniversary of the state’s creation which was celebrated yesterday August twenty-seventh, Comrade Anago eulogized the founding fathers of the state for their foresight and doggedness in achieving their dreams.
The Awka North Mayor explained that the former Governors of the state have done tremendously well during their different tenures in office but described Governor Chukwuma Soludo as the best among them.
Comrade Anago pointed out that the current Soludo’s administration has redefined governance, brought massive socio-economic development among others.
He listed the aggressive construction of roads across all the twenty-one Local Government Areas of the state, free antenatal and delivery services granted to the pregnant women in Anambra, free basic education, construction of Ekwulobia flyover over, construction of the new Government House and Governor’s Lodge, construction of Amansea-Ebenebe-Ugbene-Ugbenu-Awba Ofemmili road as some of the legacy projects of the Soludo administration that will outlive him.
The TC Chairman while urging Ndi Anambra to continue to support the All Progressives Grand Alliance government in the state, called for all hands to be on deck in the fight against insecurity in the state.
