Governor Chukwuma Soludo has made it clear that the Anambra State local government election scheduled for September 28 is sacrosanct.

 

Governor Soludo stated this while interacting with the candidates of All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA for the election at the Professor Dora Akunyili Women’s Development Center, Awka.

The interactive meeting was also attended by Local Government and party chairmen, members of the state working committee and members of the State Executive Council .

 

Governor Soludo who is also the National Leader of the party, commended the party hierarchy for the hardwork they have put in, stating that on the election day, movement will be restricted and encouraged ndị Anambra to come out and exercise their franchise.

He commended the Anambra State Independent Electoral Commission, ANSIEC and members of the State House of Assembly for putting ndị Anambra at the fore front while executing their job.

 

Governor Soludo encouraged all the aspirants to show what they will do for ndị Anambra for the overall development of the state.

The Governor insisted that factions do not exist in APGA as Barrister Sly Ezeokenwa remains the National Chairman of the party and expressed the hope that the lawful thing will be done very soon.

 

Speaking earlier, the Anambra State Chairman of APGA, Barrister Ifeatu Obiokoye said that the party is waxing stronger under the leadership of Governor Soludo, expressing optimism that they will continue to expand its frontiers beyond the state.

Barrister Obiokoye expressed high hopes that APGA will emerge victorious at the end of the election.

The Deputy Governor, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze, Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Solo Chukwulobelu, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mr. Ernest Ezeajughi, Principal Secretary to the Governor, Barr. Joachin Anaeto and Former Deputy Governor, Mr Emeka Sibudu, among others, attended the event.
