The remains of sir Christian Okpalo of Nawfia community have been committed to earth.

The funeral service held at St. Michael and All Angels Anglican Church Nawfia, had priests and faithfuls gathered to pray for the repose of the deceased soul.

In his sermon, Venerable Chukwuma Oranye, who represented the Archbishop, Ecclesiastical Province of the Niger and Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Reverend Alexander Ibezim charged Christians to live a dedicated life according to God’s teachings in order to win eternity for their soul.


A sister to the deceased, Mrs. Gloria Okpaeze said his brother was a unique personality, known with his philanthropy and dedication to the church and its activities.

His Son, Mr. Obinna Okpalo explained that his Father was deeply interested in the progress of other people, advising the living to live Godly life.

Late Sir Okpalo, popularly known as Omenyi, died at the age of eighty-eight.
