The Accountant General of Anambra State Dr Chukwudi Okoli has described yesterday’s local government election in Anambra State as most peaceful, and orderly.
Speaking in an interview with Abuchi Nwozor Dr Okoli said that the conduct of the local government election in Anambra State by the Soludo administration ten years after is a clear indication that Governor Chukwuma Soludo is a democrat who has the interest of Ndi Anambra at heart.
The Accountant General of Anambra State Dr Okoli who spoke after he cast his vote at Eziogwe zero-zero-three polling unit in Ndiokpaleze in Orumba North Local government area commended the people of the area for their peaceful and orderly conduct during the election.
Meanwhile the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance for Orumba North local government election, Mr. Casmir Nwafor has lauded the Anambra State Independent Electoral Commission for conducting a credible election in the area.
Speaking to the ABS at Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Mr. Nwafor expressed Joy that the election was devoid of violence and that a good number of eligible voters participated in the exercise and other polling units in the local government area.
