Governor Chukwuma Soludo was a special guest at the sixty-fourth Independence Day Service, held at the Cathedral Church of Saint Faith, Awka.

Government House Correspondent, Ejike Abana reports that Governor Soludo during the service called for collective action to salvage the country and encouraged Nigerians to continue praying for their leaders and the country, especially Anambra State.


He also highlighted his administration’s achievements and plans to improve the lives of the people of the State.

Earlier in a sermon, the Archbishop Ecclesiastical Province of the Niger and Anglican Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Reverend Alexander Ibezim emphasized the importance of Nigeria’s independence and the need for Nigerians to embrace unity and love for one another.


The service which featured hymns, and special prayers for Anambra State and Nigeria was also attended by the Deputy Governor, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, members of the state executive council, service commanders in the state, among others.
