The Igbo Think-Home Investment and Development LTD, otherwise known as “Think-Home Policy Initiative” is a renewed investment delivery policy with a strategy towards promoting quality developmental projects in Igbo-land ,
It is a developmental strategy that cut across states in Igboland and is not limited by boundaries, religious or partisan political affiliation. It is targeting to transforming Igboland into a tourism destination in African, that can compete favourably with Dubai and Taiwan in global investments.
Think-Home Policy Initiative is part of agenda for the actualization of Igbo mandate initiated by the United Igbo Elder Council to develop Igboland, with a great potential to create wealth and jobs in the region in line advice handed down to Ndigbo in Lagos by the late, Ikemba Nnewi, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu not long after his return to Nigeria from exile.
Think Home Policy initiative is recognized by the Federal Government of Nigeria for attracting investors from all races and ethnic groups, especially from Igboland, and promotion of good societal values and right ideals in the society.
“Think Home Policy Initiative” is therefore a business strategy and a plan of action designed to achieve the long term and overall objectives of developing comprehensive economic programme , projects and investments that will enhance the development of towns and villages and siting of factories, industries and other businesses that will create employment opportunities to provide permanent solution to challenges of unemployment.
The Initiative has the vision of evolving an Igboland with functional critical infrastructures that can compare favourably with any other country or region in the developed world.
To achieve this, the Initiative will deploy multi-faceted approach including public enlightenment, advocacy, workshops, seminars and symposia. It is also focusing on attracting investors to build critical infrastructure and developing industrial and real estate parks in the region as well as collaborating with other patriotic individuals and groups of Igbo origin to promoting partnership in developing the Igbo nation.
As a corporate entity with the vision of Igbo homeland with functional modern amenities, infrastructure, social and security facilities, the initiative is guided by action plan of achieving clear cut developmental and policy strategies anchored on physical and human capital development.
“Think Home Policy” can help harness the potential of citizens to contribute to the sustainable development and prosperity of their motherland, promote local solutions to local challenges and foster a sense of pride and ownership in shaping the future of Igboland.
Governors of Igbo speaking states are advised to assist the Igbo people to achieve the renewed consciousness to develop Igboland by providing critical infrastructure including roads, cargo airports, sea ports, power and enabling environment, favorable land administration policy and ease of doing business.
May the Vision handed down to us by our great forebears, “Think-Home Philosophy” or “Think-Home Policy Initiative”, continue to be active in our memories and actions.
