Nigeria’s U20 national team, the Flying Eagles, will head to Ikenne, Ogun State, for a final training camp in preparation for the WAFU B U20 Championship in Togo.

The team will finetune their strategies at the Remo Sports Institute for a week before departing for Lome, where they are set to face Burkina Faso and Cote d’Ivoire in a competitive Group B.

Defending champions of the title won two years ago in Niger Republic, the Flying Eagles are aiming for another victory.

Group A will see host nation, Togo competing against Ghana, Benin Republic, and Niger Republic, with the tournament running from 17th to 31st October.

The WAFU B U20 Championship doubles as the qualifying tournament for the 2025 Africa U20 Cup of Nations.

The top four teams from this event will secure their spot in next year’s FIFA U20 World Cup in Chile, carrying Africa’s hopes on the global stage.
