Wife of the Governor of Anambra State Nonye Soludo has inaugurated her Healthy Living Club at Nwafor Orizu College of Education Nsugbe.
The event held at the college auditorium, is in tandem with the vision of her healthy living campaign aimed at improving lives.
The governor’s wife represented by the Commissioner for Health, Dr Afam Obidike observed that pioneering the advocacy and public enlightenment is aimed at raising public consciousness and involvement on the importance of taking care of health and wellbeing.
In an address the Provost of the College, Dr Justina Anyadiegwu, commended her for being a beacon of change in the society, adding that the inauguration of the club in the school will serve as a hub for knowledge transfer and motivation towards a sustainable life style.
A resource person, Dr Nkechi Ibeagha in a paper presentation enlightened the academic community on the topic “walk for life ” gave an overview of the benefits of the community-based initiative necessitated by the need to promote wellness.
