The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, NAFDAC, says business groups in Anambra can now be issued certificates for export within twenty-four hours.

The Deputy Director Enugu/Onitsha Port Inspection Directorate, Mrs. Uche Emekekwue disclosed during a seminar organized for industries and Small and Medium-scale Enterprises, SMEs in the state tagged “Accelerating Made-In Anambra by promoting, developing non-oil export”.


According to Mrs. Emekekwue, issuance of export approvals for all exports can be done within twenty-four hours of receipt of application.

For the South East Regional Coordinator of Nigerian Export Promotion Council, NEPC, MacPherson Fred-Ileogben, Anambra state is blessed with huge resources which can be tapped and developed to increase non-oil export values as the representative of Standards Organization of Nigeria, SON, Mr. Fidelis Wariboko, said that the doors of the organization are always open to guide manufacturers and exporters at all times.


Speaking shortly after the event, the Anambra State Commissioner for Commerce and Industry Mr. Christian Udechukwu expressed joy over the significant progress from the seminar as SMEs exports’ certification from NAFDAC for food products in Anambra will further improve the ease of doing business in the state.
