It was a moment of restoration, liberation and soul winning at Saint Thomas Anglican Church, Ebenebe as Ndi Ebenebe in Awka North Local Government Area, gathered for a three-day power packed crusade.

The crusade was a means of evangelism to bring lost souls back to Jesus Christ.

It drew the Bishop, Diocese of Amichi, Right Reverend Ephraim Ikeakor, the clergy of the Anglican Diocese of Awka both from within and outside Ofemmili Archdeaconry.

With the theme ‘Out Of Darkness Into Light’ taken from 1 Peter 2:9, the crusade featured prayers, salvation, special numbers and special renditions by Ebenebe Anglican Golden Voices.

Dwelling on the theme of the crusade at Saint Thomas field, Bishop Ikeakor said that Christians who are baptized in the name of Christ are God’s own special people and a chosen generation.

He however, added that wallowing in darkness, no matter the status of the person in life, is the worst thing that will happen to any Christian.

Bishop Ikeakor bemoaned what he described as alarming involvement of youths in idolatry, cultism, prostitution, kidnapping and many other vices, cautioning them that Christ paid a huge prize for their salvation and should return back to God to be forgiven.

Earlier, the vicar of Saint Thomas Church, Ebenebe, Venerable Goodness Amechi who is the host, said in this season there are calls for God’s intervention in many affairs of man and that there is need for man to take a serious step to the call by taking the first step to return to God.
