Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo has assured that the contract for the construction of Akpo to Ogboji road would be awarded by the end of November.

The Governor disclosed this at Akpo in Aguata local government area, during the commissioning of a six-point five kilometers road built by the community members.


The Governor reminded them that the entire zone is an industrial city, with the acquisition of over four thousand hectares of land that will be the new axis of industrialization in the state, expressing optimism that when completed, the Akpo to Ogboji road would be life-changing for the people in the axis.


Governor Soludo, who stressed that the Public-Private-Community-Partnership model is already working in the education sector, noted that his administration’s initiatives in education are deliberately targeted at the children who are the future.


He commended the Akpo community for their investments which he said is at the heart of development and used the opportunity to call on other communities in the state to emulate what the community has done.
