As the international community observes polio Day yesterday, the immediate Past District Governor of Rotary International District 9142 Nigeria Mr Akan Emah has called for concerted efforts towards keeping polio to zero level across the world.
Speaking in an interview with Abuchi Nwozor on the importance of World polio Day, Mr Emah who described poliomyelitis as a greatest challenge to the wellbeing of the children if not detected early, called for a great collaboration between the government, private sector and Rotary International in the ongoing campaign towards polio elimination.
The immediate past District Governor of Rotary International District 9142, who is a member of the Nigerian institute of public Relations NIPR, called on various media to use their platform in helping to sensitize the public on the inherent dangers of poliomyelitis in the society.
