Governor Chukwuma Soludo says his administration is empowering youths with different skills through the one Youth two Skills Initiative among other programmes.

Governor Soludo stated this during the official opening of Agulu Progressive Vocational Academy and its 2023/2024 matriculation ceremony which is a skill training school approved by the National Business and Technical Examination Board (NABTEB), designed to equip individuals with practical skills.


Governor Soludo who spoke through the Commissioner for Education, Professor Ngozi Chuma-Udeh said that with the different skills acquisition programmes, youths in the state would be gainfully employed.

The President-General of Agulu Progressive Union, Chief Oliver Afamefuna said that through the academy, they aim to channel the minds of the youths to what will earn them a meaningful life and commended Ndi Agulu for their efforts in making the academy a reality.


The Director of the academy, Dr Emmanuel Duezeh disclosed that they founded the school to serve as a beacon of skill development and empowerment in their community and outlined some of their challenges to include financial assistance to equip the school to meet its various operational demands as ninety-four students matriculated into the academy.
