National Orientation Agency, has concluded plans to commence a nationwide birth registration social mobilization drive to ensure that every child in Nigeria can access essential services such as education, healthcare and social protection.

Its Director-General, Malam Lanre Issa-Onilu, represented by Director of Special Duties and States Operations, Mr. David Akoji, said the agency is focused on registering children aged zero to five years and providing them with a National Identification Number, free of cost.

He encouraged parents and guardians to visit the nearest National Population Commission registration centre to register their children as according to him the process is simple, free, and requires only supporting documents like an immunization card or existing birth certificate.
