Anambra State House of Assembly, Committee on Health has paid an oversight visit to the State College of Nursing Science in Nkpor.

The purpose of the visit was to evaluate the college’s facilities, assess its operations, and ensure alignment with state health education standards.


Speaking during the visit, the Committee Chairman, Honourable Tony Muobike, emphasized the importance of quality nursing education for the healthcare sector in the state, highlighting the committee’s commitment to supporting institutions that train health professionals which she said is essential to the state’s medical workforce.

In her remarks, the Acting Provost of the College, Mrs. Mercy Ezeani, highlighted several pressing issues faced by the college, including poor access road leading to the campus, inadequate demonstration rooms, and erosion problems affecting the college grounds.
