The Anambra State Immunization Officer Mrs. Edith Onwuka has called on parents and caregivers to avail their children and wards the opportunity to get immunized in the ongoing integrated measles vaccination campaign.

Speaking to the ABS in Awka, Mrs. Onwuka noted that Immunization is very critical to preventing child killer diseases and also helps to enhance the state’s health index.

The State Immunization Officer disclosed that the immunization is going on in all the primary healthcare centres across the twenty-one local government areas of the state, and that their workers will later visit various critical places like churches, mosques, schools among others to get children immunized and commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for his numerous supports to them which has made their job a lot easier, extolling the Governor’s wife, Nonye for his unflinching support to the health needs of Anambra women and children.

She also commended the State Commissioner for Health Dr Afam Obidike for his good job, and appealed to the residents of the state and all the mayors across the local government areas to give their workers the needed support for them to do their job judiciously.
