The Commissioner for Culture, Entertainment and Tourism, Comrade Don Onyenji has described the recent Ili ji Anambra as one of the best ways through which Anambra state government expose youths and children to their cultural values.

Fielding questions from newsmen shortly after the 2024 annual ili ji Anambra at the Dr Alex Ekwueme square, Awka, Comrade Onyenji said that culture as a way of life of Ndi Igbo, which makes them to connect home wherever they are around the world, was demonstrated at its peak with the caliber of masquerades, cultural troops and delicacies eaten at the event.

He said that Ndi Igbo revere culture without apologies, noting that culture breeds love, unity, community life that could not be found anywhere in the world and also serves an avenue where the youths are taught what to wear, eat and who they are as igbos.
