In the picturesque setting of Bali, Indonesia, Nigeria made a resounding impact at the World Public Relations Forum, showcasing its leadership in shaping national narratives and global communication strategies.

The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, represented by the President of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Dr. Ike Neliaku, captivated the audience with Nigeria’s vision for public relations, highlighting the country’s rich cultural diversity, entrepreneurial resilience, and innovative strides in crafting a unified national identity that resonates on the world stage.

He said Nigeria’s identity transcends its borders, as it is found in the stories they tell, the values upheld, and the image projected globally, saying that public relations empowers people to transform their diversity into strength and unity.

A key moment was the spotlight on Nigeria’s groundbreaking initiative to establish the world’s first University of Public Relations, a testament to its dedication to education and professional excellence.

This milestone reflects NIPR’s drive to elevate the nation’s global image and advance the field of communication.

International speakers, including the President of the Global Alliance for Public Relations, Professor Justin Green, and President of Indonesia’s Public Relations Association, Boy Kelana Soebroto, reechoed the importance of ethical communication in an era defined by misinformation and artificial intelligence.

With the theme “Purposeful Influence for the Common Good,” the forum brought together world’s leading PR professionals to address global challenges and explore how public relations can foster trust, transparency, and sustainable development.

As the forum concluded, Nigeria was visible, inviting the world to join its narrative of resilience, creativity, and boundless potential, demonstrating how purposeful communication can shape a brighter global future.
