The remains of late Mr Alexander Ekweozor has been laid to rest in his family compound at Agbana village, Umuawulu in Awka South Local Government Area.
The final journey of late Ekweozor who died at the age of eighty-four commenced with a funeral mass at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Umuawulu, where Reverend Father Christopher Ezeonu who delivered the homily enjoined Christians to utilise every opportunity to show love and contribute positively to humanity in order to make heaven.
Speaking on behalf of the family of the deceased, his first son, Mr Ekene Ekweozor, thanked God for blessing his father with longevity and described him as a man who served God faithfully even in his old age and assured that he will follow his footsteps to keep his legacies alive.
The younger brother of the deceased, Chief Azubuike Ekweozor, described him as a peaceful man who accommodated people regardless of their weaknesses, saying that he was a good brother to him and his siblings as he guided them well.
