Governor Chukwuma Soludo says his administration is poised to stamping out any obnoxious practices against widows in communities across Anambra State.
Speaking at the commissioning of Sir Emeka Offor Foundation’s Touch-A-Life Housing Project at Oraifitte in Ekwusigo Local Government Area, Governor Soludo, who noted that the state has made laws to protect the rights of widows, stressed that all the laws must be enforced to ensure dignity of widows, and thanked Sir Emeka Offor and wife, Dr. Adaora for living out the true essence of humanity.
In an address, the President of Touch -A-Life-Housing Project and Vice Chairman of Sir Emeka Offor Foundation, Dr. Adaora Offor, said the project was birthed four years ago to give shelter to less-privileged widows, and explained that a total of ten houses have been built for ten widows.
The Founder of SEOF, Sir Emeka Offor, promised that the foundation will continue to support the Touch-A-Life Housing Project as they go into the fourth stage.
