The Federal Government has set aside seven hundred billion naira from the federation account for the implementation of the distribution of free electricity meters under the Presidential Metering Initiative.
Special Adviser to the Minister of Power on Strategic Communications and Media, Bolaji Tunji, who disclosed this in a chat with newsmen, noted that the initiative is on course; with a target to deliver two million meters yearly, adding that this month, government would fulfil its promise to deliver one point three million electricity meters out of the three point two million meters under the World Bank Distribution Sector Reform Programme initiative.
