The operations, carried out under the directive of the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, led to the recovery of dangerous weapons and the dismantling of several criminal gangs.
In Lagos, swift police intervention in the early hours of Christmas Day foiled a robbery in the Amukoko area where three armed suspects—Emmanuel Okoli (20), Ogunde Tejiri (20), and Emmanuel Orji (18)—were apprehended, with their weapons confiscated.
Efforts are ongoing to track down their accomplices.
In Kaduna State, operatives arrested a notorious kidnapper linked to multiple abductions in the Saminaka area, Sule Muhammad (25).
A fabricated AK-47 rifle was recovered during the operation, with further investigations underway to capture his gang members.
