Anambra State Deputy Governor, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim, has asked the leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide to ensure that the election of the Anambra State chapter of the association is free and fair in order to maintain peace and harmony in the association.
The Deputy Governor, who gave the charge when members of the Anambra State Ohanaeze Ndigbo Electoral Committee paid him a courtesy visit in his office at the Government House, Awka, explained that a free and fair election guarantees peace and unity of any organization.
He listed some of the achievements of Governor Chukwuma Soludo-led administration in all sectors of the state’s economy, saying that leaders at all levels should emulate the Governor’s leadership style which prioritizes the needs of the citizenry.
In his remark, the Chairman of the Electoral Committee, Ambassador Eddy Onuoha, commended Governor Soludo for achieving much already for the state, and assured that the Anambra State Ohanaeze Ndigbo election will be free and fair, in line with what the Governor stands for.
