A member of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria IPMAN, Chief Jonathan Nzekwe, has expressed optimism that the gradual revamping of the nation’s refineries by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited will go a long way in halting fuel importation, creating jobs for the teeming youths, and making petroleum products available at affordable pump prices.
Speaking in an interview with the Energy Correspondent of the Anambra Broadcasting Service, Abuchi Nwozor, in Awka on the commencement of production by the Warri Refinery, Chief Nzekwe described it as a welcome development. He stated that the move is a clear indication that 2025 holds great prospects for the nation’s economy.
Chief Nzekwe emphasized that with the commencement of operations by the Port Harcourt and Warri refineries, the living standards of the people will continue to improve, and called on Nigerians to always remember their leaders in prayers.
