Concerned Ndigbo have articulated agenda for the new President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Senator John Azuta-Mbata following his recent emergence as the leader of the Igbo sociopolitical group.
Speaking to the ABS, the Anambra State Chairman of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Mr Chukwuma Okpalaezeukwu said that the new leadership is a testament of hope given the challenges that seem to be ravaging the organization.
Mr. Okpalaezeukwu stated that the new leadership should work towards changing the narrative for Ndigbo by speaking with one voice and ensure the release of Mr Nnamdi Kanu, as his continued detention is a deep concern to Ndigbo.
On his part, an Awka community leader, Chief Obi Ochije-Modilim said that protecting the interest of Ndigbo should be the focus of the new leadership of Ohaneze Ndigbo, especially in infrastructural development and political appointments among others.
