Governor Chukwuma Soludo has reiterated the commitment of his administration to tackling insecurity across the State.

Governor Soludo who spoke at the International Convention Centre in Awka, during the launch of “Operation Udo Ga-Achị” initiative revealed that besides kidnappings and armed robbery, there are other related challenges which reinforce each other such as cultism, drug epidemic, land grabbing and touting, including the warped ideology and value system that increasingly celebrates ‘magical wealth’ including the resurgence of criminal idolatry which offers the criminals a sense of invincibility.

He maintained that for systematic long-term solution, there is the need to strengthen the legal framework as well as the institutional organization, logistical capabilities, social re-engineering and citizens mass action, hence the signing of the Anambra Homeland Security Law 2025 which provides a framework for community and citizens ownership and participation in the sustainable security and social re-engineering of the homeland.
