Ahead of the January 29, 2025 trial of #EndBadGovernance protesters at the Federal High Court in Abuja, a Civil Society Organisation, Kimpact Development Initiative, KDI, has released an assessment report on #EndBadGovernance Movement tagged ‘Beyond the Protest.’
The presentation of the document was made in Abuja, and had in attendance the Nigerian Police Force, National Human Rights Commission, Civil Society Organizations, Development Partners, and the media.
In a welcome remark, the Executive Director of KDI, Bukola Idowu, explained that the #EndBadGovernance protest, alongside others such as #EndSARS, has showcased the remarkable power of civic action in shaping the future of the nation, adding that security agencies need to adopt less confrontational approaches to protests, fostering trust and encouraging constructive dialogue between citizens and the state.
