The final burial rites of the late Pa Alphonsus Okechukwu Udume a retired Headmaster who died at the age of eighty-six has been performed.
The deceased whose remains have since been buried in his country home, Ire village Umuoji, in Idemili North Local Government Area is the father of Ogochukwu Oranu of the ABS.
At a holy mass which took place in his compound a Catholic Priest, Very Reverend Father Joseph Madubuonu cautioned Christians against undue quest for materialism.
A onetime Managing Director of the ABS, Sir Oseloka Offor, the Deputy Head of Station and Head of Commercial Services ABS Onitsha Mr. Val Oguejiofor among others urged the bereaved family to take solace in the Lord.
The Children of the deceased Mrs. Ogochukwu Oranu, Mrs. Ngozi Okeke, Mrs. Amara Udechukwu and Mr. Paschal Udume described their father as a disciplinarian and a lover of God.
