The traditional ruler of Umueri in Anambra East Local Government Area, Igwe Bennett Emeka, has described the launch of the Operation Udogachi security initiative by Governor Chukwuma Soludo as a welcome development, saying that the positive impact of the initiative is being felt in different parts of Anambra State.

Speaking to the ABS in Awka, Igwe Emeka, who emphasized that the security of life and property is the ultimate function of the government, called for collaboration between traditional rulers and Presidents-General. He tasked various community leaders to look within their areas to identify those causing havoc, as according to him, the security of life and property is a collective responsibility.

Igwe Emeka, who is also a proprietor in the hospitality industry, called on hotel owners across the state to ensure comprehensive documentation of all their guests to assist in the ongoing fight against crime and criminality. He also thanked the Anambra State government for its efforts in ensuring a conducive environment for seamless business transactions in the state and called for the sustainability of these efforts.
