The President General of Ugbenu Town Union, Awka North Local Government Area, Mr Sampson Ojo-Nwankwo has lauded the free education scheme of Professor Chukwuma Soludo led administration for public-public schools in the state.
Mr Ojo-Nwankwo made the commendation while speaking to the ABS on the positive effects of the scheme on families who were struggling to see their children and wards through Primary and Secondary schools before the government’s intervention.
The Ugbenu PG who explained that all the schools in the community are under churches, said that children in the area are not benefiting from the scheme, as it is only meant for those in Public -Public schools, saying that if the scheme will also be extended to accommodate Public -Mission schools, it will be of immense help to most families in the community who are finding it difficult to train their children in school.
